Local Keswick hills have a fresh dusting of snow

Out for a quick walk today up one of our local hills. Causey Pike has been a firm favourite for quite a few years and this was Yogi’s (Our choci Lab) 2nd walk up there in the snow. I decided to take the Olympus OMD along with the 12mm, 45mm and 75mm primes. The snow shots with yogi in mid air were captured with the Olympus 75mm 1.8, this lens combined with the OMD EM-5 shooting at a whopping 9 frames per second captures this style of photograph with ease. As a Lake District Photographer and dog owner we consider ourselves to be extremely lucky to be surrounded by these current Winter Conditions and snow capped mountains. Keep your eyes peeled for my little review of the Olympus OMD coming soon.

Olympus OMD 1250th sec F5.6 ISO 400 – Olympus 75mm 1.8 Lens. Shooting at 9 frames a second works really well for an image of this nature. Looking forward to having this little pocket with me during our next international trip.

Olympus OMD with the Panasonic 20mm 1.7 lens. 200th sec F11. The newly snowcapped Helvellyn range photographed from Causey Pike. This was my first time out with my new micro four thirds kit. If I am totally honest I did consider taking the 5D mark 3 and collection of EOS lenses! After this shoot I can confirm that the raves and reviews on this little camera are absolutely spot on.
