| Despite being one of the most photographed viewpoints in the Lake District, the view from Ashness Bridge, across Derwent Water to Keswick and Skiddaw is well worth seeing. Avoid the crowds by going early or late; that way sunrise or sunset will make your photograph all the more dramatic. Ashness Bridge can be located by taking the narrow road to Watendlath, a left-turn off the B5289 beside Derwent Water, about three miles south of Keswick. Surprise View is another popular area | ||
| which can easily be reached by a short walk up the hill. | ||

| The well known Britons best view in the Lake District is Wastwater after the public chose from four landscapes. Other condenders were Bamburgh Castle in Northumberland, The Mountains of Mourne in Co Down and Three Cliffs Bay on the Gower Peninsula in Wales. As I have a few Weddings to shoot in and around this amazing area I took a drive to get a few ideas for how I wanted to not only capture a Landscape but to shoot some upbeat Wedding Photographs. Here is a shot I captured in this trully awesome dramatic location only one hour drive from keswick via cold fell and into Gosforth. More photographs available on my Wedding Photography Page. | ||
