The fact that William Wordsworth was born here in Cockermouth, and that his childhood home is here makes Cockermouth a real pilgrimage for Wordsworth fans.

If you are a lover of beer and fascinated by the beer making process, pop into the Jennings Brewery for a tour, and stock up on the delicious malty tasting Jennings bitter from their on-site shop. Cockermouth really is a gem of a town with ample galleries, river walks and historic Cockermouth Castle. Lots of pubs, specialist shopping and restaurants as well.
