F15 American Eagle low level flying in Cumbria

Wow! A low level pass by two F15 American Eagles yesterday, whilst walking high above Thirlmere reservoir in Cumbria. These guys are known for flying mostly the mach loop in Wales. Fortunately for keen photographers, they seem to be visiting the Lake District valleys for low level training. I was out testing my new Canon 5D mk 4 camera and 100-400mm mk 2 lens yesterday and they appeared from nowhere! The whole valley echoed with pure F15 Eagle power and was left with only a few vapour trails.  I’m sure they arrived over my home town of Keswick only seconds later. I admired the distant summit of Helvellyn after my private air show from the American Air Force and captured this panoramic photograph, which is available to purchase from the shopping area of the website. A wide variety of options are available and include square format, panoramic and regular A4 prints or canvasses. Purchase prints and canvas products via this link.
