Ullswater Jetty – Landscape Photography
One of those stunning mornings, waiting for the light. The Inn on the Lake jetty is a great subject for early morning Lake District Landscapes. I love the combination of the sunrise backlighting the separating cloud. It was quite a wait for this one as the cloud was so heavy, but my patience paid off.
I captured this Landscape with a six second exposure at F18 and ISO 50 on the Canon 5D mark 3. A tripod is an absolute must for long shutter speeds. My carbon fibre three legged thing tripod helped keep things steady combined with a cable release. The trusty canon 24-70mm and polarizer filter kept the definition of the clouds. If you are looking for one2one photography workshops in the Lake District, I have a few more dates coming up soon. My photography workshops are based on a full day course visiting some of my favourite top five photography locations. If you are new to photography or looking to be a little more creative with your camera it’s definitely worth heading out for a few tips. I shoot with the Canon 5D Mark 3 and the Olympus OMD EM-1. I love both the full frame format and the micro four thirds. I am currently looking at purchasing both the latest offerings from Canon and Olympus. The Canon 5D mark 4 is the latest offering from Canon and the OMD EM1 Mark 2 from Olympus. Decisions, decisions….
