Catbells Sunset РWith a total height of 1,480ft, this magical Lake District fell can be seen on your approach to Keswick via the A66. This has to be one of the most popular fells to walk in the northern lakes which is situated on the western side of Derwent Water. I have photographed Catbells from so many angles and even flown my quadcopter from the summit. Earlier this year the film crew from Star Wars were here filming the latest Star Wars movie. WOW! a location for a future Hollywood Blockbuster. We have some of the most amazing locations here in Keswick for photography and filming. I captured this sunset photograph whilst out on one of my one 2 one photography workshops. We spent the whole day photographing some of the best locations in the national park. During the end of the workshop we were blessed with some lovely light at Castlerigg Stone Circle. I captured this Catbells image with a canon 70-200 F4.0 lens handheld as my fellow student was using my tripod! If you are interested in the view from the summit I have quite a few photographs on the SHOPPING area on the website. Prints can be purchased from as little as £8.50. This little video captured with my DJI Phantom 2 quadcopter was created during a lovely cloud inversion in March 2014 from Catbells summit.
