Photography Training Break – Lake District
After the huge success and positive feedback from my previous photography course, there are two more photography course dates available. The workshop is aimed at the beginner/intermediate photographer looking at taking their photography skills to the next level.
If you are currently using a digital SLR, Micro Four Thirds or even compact camera and seeking proffesional tuition join us on either the 8TH OF MAY or SEPTEMBER 25TH 2014 at the Leathes Head Hotel in Borrowdale.
A little feedback from my previous photography training course …….
After hearing that the Leathes Head Hotel was offering a one day photographic course in March, my Wife and I leapt at the chance to return to this wonderful hotel. Our room was spotless, newly decorated with a spectacular view of Cumbrian countryside from both of the large sash windows. The restaurant lived up to expectations, consistently providing excellent food from an imaginative menu. Jamie and Jane, the hotel managers, were professional and efficient and remembered things from our previous visit which made us feel very welcome. The photography course was run by Jason Chambers, a local professional, who took us to a succession of his favoured locations with breathtaking views of various scenes. He took the time, at each place, to teach us efficient techniques so as to get the best results from our cameras. The four people in our group were of varied experience, ranging from those who had several cameras and a large selection of lenses to myself who had only one compact camera. Jason moved from one person to another, making sure he adapted his advice to each person according to their experience and ensured that we all felt part of the class and had a good time. I cannot recommend the whole experience highly enough, which was a real treat from start to finish. We will certainly be attending another course to experience the same scenes in different seasons.
Just a quick note to say thank you very much for a super day on Wednesday. When you sign up for these things you never know what to expect, all I can say is that you exceeded my expectations by a very long way in every respect. It was such a relaxed day, you knew where to go and the weather was with you, you shared your knowledge with us all. I have come away with so much more knowledge to work that it will take some time to sort and that is brilliant!!. I said to you when we first met if I learnt one thing I would be happy, I learnt so much that I am absolutely delighted.
In conclusion it was a truly inspiring day all made possible by you and I was honoured to be there. Thank you very much and I would appreciate it if you allowed me to keep in touch with you.
Castlerigg Stone Circle captured on the morning of the 26th of March. This was a great image to start the day’s photography course.
