Great Gable Winter Panoramic Photographs from the news breaking snowfall of early 2013

Great Gable Winter Panoramic Photograph

This great hill needs no introduction – currently in prime winter condition for alpine enthusiasts. March has made headline news here in the UK and Cumbria with snow drifts measuring up to 15 foot high in some areas.

One of my favourite Lake District Panoramics captured in March 2013 with the Canon 5D mark 3. We parked the car near Honister Slate Mine and headed straight up towards Brandreth, with Green Gable, our summit choice for the day, in sight. Equipment list for this walk is as follows………….

Canon 5D Mark 3, Three Legged Friend Tripod (Brian) Lowepro Vertex, Canon 70-200mm F2.8, Canon 24-105 F4.0, Canon 16-35mm f2.8. Yogi, our Chocolate Lab.
